Both my parents are Malay. My mum's heritage includes Chinese, Thai and Arab, while my dad is Minangkabau. Due to my skin colour, I am often mistaken for a Chinese.

I'm happy that I don't have the typical Malay look but I do get annoyed when people call me Ah Moi or ask me straight up "Are you Chinese or Malay"

Like, why does it matter? Before I used to answer "Malay" but now I'm trying to consciously answer Malaysian instead.

There's this incident from primary school that I remember till today. Someone told me that I will be called last during Judgement Day because I don't have a Muslim name. Of course, I was scared then but now that I'm older, I realise that a name is just a name. It doesn't define you as a good or bad person and there is definitely no such thing as a Muslim name. You can be named Rashid or Ali and still be a Christian.

I've heard of the 1Malaysia concept, but I think we don't need to be told to be united. We've come such a long way that it should already be embedded in our hearts and minds that we are united. Unfortunately, you can still see racial discrimination and polarisation. There is still this ethno-centric view that the Malays are the dominant group and their rights must be protected, and non Malays are forever the outsiders.

For the concept to succeed, I think the government should stop with the race politics. It's tiring, really. We grew up with application forms asking us to tick our race. We should stop painting a negative image of the other races, stop thinking about 'us' and 'them' and focus on 'we', 'our' and 'Malaysians'.

No one should be made uncomfortable in their own home. A dear Chinese friend of mine said to me once, "I don't feel patriotic because I am not made to feel like Malaysia is my home, and I don't feel an affinity to China because I have never lived there.

I know some baby Nyonya friends who can trace their lineage back hundreds of years. I'm a fourth generation Malaysian. If I am Bumiputra, why can't they be, too? Clearly I have issues with the term.

I think the main reason why we still can't achieve total unity is because of this 'Malay rights' concept. I'd rather 'Malay rights' be replaced by human rights. So unless we get rid of this Bumiputra status, or reform our views and policies on rights, we will never achieve unity.

For my merdeka wish, I'd like for Malaysians to have more voice, to be respected and heard. I wish that the government would uphold the true essence of parliamentary democracy. I wish for the people to no longer fear and discriminate against each other, to see that we are one and the same.

I wish that Malaysia would truly live up to the tourism spin of Malaysia truly Asia. Malaysians to lead - whatever their ethnic background. Only ONE NATIONALITY MALAYSIAN. No Malays, No Chinese, No Indians - ONLY MALAYSIANS. Choose whatever religion one is comfortable with.

When you thinks that sometimes you just have to turn up the music, close your eyes and block out the world listen to "It's my life, it's now or never, I ain't gonna live forever. I just wanna live while I'm alive, 'cause it's, my, life." by Bon Jovi and shout it out loud. I do that Bon Jovi song during my session with my friend in Karaoke. It fun to shout out loud and just let the stress out.

I believe that the best songs don't bring you back to the day you 1st heard them but the day they started to mean something to you. Personally i have few songs like Everyday i love you- Boyzone, some Christian songs like Redeemer - Nicole C.Mullen, or Friends - Michael W.Smith and many more. Some songs are so meaningful and it totally suit your 'life' situations. Songs like Goodbye - Miley Cyrus, I need you now -Lady Antebellum and so on.

Do you know that sometimes it's healthy to put your headphones on and turn the music up loud enough you can't hear yourself think cuz u won't be frustrated over things and stress over life. Hehehe...well, that is what i thought at least. Sometimes life gives you music but sometimes music gives you life. So put on your headphones now and tune in to your favourite song. Have fun =)

I've just spent my weekends with my lovely friends Ray, Denise, Jovin & Daphne to a road trip to Penang, Ipoh & Cameron. We had a nice short trip. After so long i didn't blog, i guess now is the time to put some thoughts in my blog since i am feeling so bored.Trials has officially over, yay! but now its the time to get serious. I should really get my ass up and start getting serious in studies and not being lazy. Even though i know that finals will be hard, but every clouds has its silver lining. At least for now, what i can do to improve, is to study smart for finals.

A little thought in mind about something that i am really pissed at last few days. I will not go in details, but its about this girl getting down to brass tacks over something that is so ridiculous. I guess she just lost her head. But the problem is that, i thought that people their age is suppose to be more mature and know how to know the ropes before making a final conclusion. However, it turn out to be very disappointing. I must admit that i have tried my best to pull out the plug between me and her. In fact, the plug is off the wall but i guess its because chip is on her shoulder. I have got nothing to say to her but just a little advise, grow up please. If you have problem with the problem and me. I would really advise you to learn how to build more trust and why not just put the problem in the bag and just keep it under your ass. Also, i think what you are doing is just you going up to blind alley. Keep an eye on what you are doing and how you are reacting. In short, grow up!

In about 75 more days, Jia will be back! I can't wait for him to be back and wack some ass for me. Lol. At least screw some bitches ass. Hahhahaa. I hope that it will be in a blink of an eye for him to be back. I miss him so much.

Choice 1 (Budget): One of Any kind of Lomography Camera!
Lomography cameras are prettie cool and awesome. The effects from the lenses is very unique and out of the world. Nice,cool, prices is reasonable, suitable for taking abstract and creative pictures but not practical for multi usage compare to DSLR.
*Wilson say that he will get me one of this...hahahahahahaha =p

Choice 2 (Not so Budget): The new Polaroid 300 instant camera
I always wanted a Polaroid camera since last time. I found this new Polaroid instant camera. Haven't done any research and read through all the reviews but i trust that its cool and awesome. Price are reasonable but i need to rich enough to invest on my films.
OR

Choice 3 (Dem Expensive): Panasonic Lumix GF1
Smaller than G1, handy, awesome and practical but darn expensive.
Guess i will just keep this for my another year's wish list. I will get you!

So... i decided to update my blog again, so randomly.

I am so lazy to study my finance as i am having exam this Sunday.
I am so doomed..

Anyways, i went to the visit my tooth fairy today morning after skipping my appointment for a month. He decided to torture me with the tight rubber all around my braces. I randomly chose a colour, which is light blue, and this is how it look like.

Immediately after he is done pulling the rubber around, i felt the tense already..Sobs...

Anyways, i have been really busy with assignments, classes everyday which starts from 8am till 5pm, almost everyday. Also busy spending time with Jia Yow and friends. As you all know, or not, Jia just left for his work as 3rd Officer in a tanker named CS Stealth. He will be away for 6 months and will be back around the third week of September. So i am now very free. To those whom i have been FFKing for long time or v.v do call me if you wanna hang.

I am going to Turkey for my international trip!
Will be leaving right after my finals, 9th April, 10pm and will come back on the 18th April
I heard that Turkey is freezing cold now. Its about 6degree to 18degree. Hmmm..i really can't wait for it. Turkey is a very nice place to go, fulled with history. Forget about other place for now. I just wanna go Turkey right now =)

Holla!!!

Finally, 2 Months of Training in the Maldives and 9 Days of Holiday in Sabah has quickly passed away. I am now back with high spirit, and still looking forwards for more excitements and achievements to gain. I finished my training smoothly and i visited Sabah and i got my diving licence. Awesome ey?!

But good things will always come with the opposite side of things. It must be a balance. Although i am having my holiday but reports to be done is not something that i look forward to. There goes my holiday with doing reports. Brain Storm, Brain Storm~ =.=

I wanna grab this opportunity to thank Denise and Family for allowing me to stay in their house for my visit in Sabah. I had a comfortable and happy time spent with all of you. Also, Jill, Hannie Jia and Bev for the crazy time together. I am surely looking forward for the next one.

Miss those time in Maldives wit the bunch of monkeys and in Sabah too...

I was actually planning to go kayaking with Marvin today morning. A call from the HR Department. Sigh. I had to go back to office and change something in the newsletter that i was in charged to write and some of the stuff. I missed my kayak trip. No one else could help Rhoda with things because all trainee were off today. The new staff...no comment. Just have to give him sometime to get use to things.

Off to Dhigu

I just came back from an diving excursion. Nope. I didn't go for the dive. Only 5 of them Ray, Denise, Tjay, S.Sien and Daphne went for the dive. They saw Manta Ray! I was enjoying the sun on top of the boat together with Marvin and Jovin. We took lots of nice shot! Happy.

Now i have to go meeting...Adios...

Final Week In Maldives

Half way watching the cricket match between Sri Lanka & Bangladesh team, i excused myself. As i walk back,i have this feeling deep down inside that i couldn't describe it. The feeling of excitement but sad. It was all because of one reason. I am leaving Maldives next Monday!Will i ever come back again? I hope i will.

Back to my room. Striped. Turn it on. Shower. In a hot, steamy shower, i just let the water flows. I just relax and just release a deep sigh. It was a perfect bathe after a long day. Never felt this feeling for so long. Everyday has been like a rush for me. Well...not really a rush, but i will have things to do after another.

Its has always been the case in every training. The feeling of 'missing' 'heavy hearted' to leave the place and the people. We have been treated really well. No ill treatment from the people except some irritating scenarios that we have gone through. Overall, I personally love it here. Great place to have my training. Not a bad place to work too. I am sure there are more improvement coming along as this young resort grow.

I can say that this is one of the training that i enjoy most. I can only smile when i come to think about it. =)

Hoollaaaa...

9 more days and i will be back to Malaysia. I can't wait to be back home stepping on the soil of my home land. There is an incident today which really makes me wanna get off from this place but i told myself to spend my last 10 days with satisfaction, fun and full with enjoyment, so i will not disappoint myself.Anyways, I have updated my pictures all in my facebook. So do feel free to drop by and view the albums.

This week is gonna be good as the sun shines back after 2 weeks of stormy gloomy days. The rain really freaks me out, and i totally dislike it when it rains. I prefer the hot sunny bright sun that directs the UVs and the windy breeze that touches the skins so smoothly.

Sorry for not updating so often. Busy busy as i am in the HR department. There is a lot of event to run that comes along with the preparation and all other things. Moreover, i will still have to help out with my executive and my director with all the work in the office. Director from the main company, Minor International came over to run things, so he expect things to be perfect. There is a lot of stress placed on to HR department as we are the main department to run things around for and with people.

I wish all to have a great day ahead. November here we come!

Today morning i head to Male city to have a walk. The city is so small and so boring. I really wonders how the people can live in there. No malls, no cinema, no entertainments. I cannot imagine me living here.

23 more days and i will be back to Malaysia! I can't wait. As much as i enjoy my training here, but there is no better place to be than being at home.

I also want to make a shoutout in advance to my dearest best friend, Mei Yoon

9th October 09

Today i changed position from Guest Relation Officer in front office to Guest Service Agent in Guest Service Centre (GSC). Basically all calls from anywhere will channeled through GSC. The phone calls that comes never fail to ring. Busy but yet boring sometimes when all things are done. In there, the people are more cheerful and funny. Things are more flexible as all tasks are done back office. The only problem in this GSC is just not enough manning. Learned a few new things. At least it is fruitful.

10th October 09

Its my off day today. I went Male with Daphne. Like a tourist (well, we are the tourist, duh...) blur and curious we painted the town red. Male is so small that within an hour plus, we have already walked from one corner to another corner. The traffic there is...speechless...but at least there is traffic lights and bumps to slow down all the cars. All the taxis in the city is either Mazda or Nissan. I saw RX8, Benz, Swift and all nice car there. The road are so small there, it's such a was to have those car there to run 30-50kph. *better give it to me* *evil laugh*

In the noon around 4, Denise, Daphne & Me went for Dolphin Quest. I saw dolphins!!! So happy...after the excursion we then dropped off at Veli Island and took some nice shots and head back for dinner.

A day full with surprise and fun. At least i didn't waste my day off.

Didn't wake up for breakfast today because was really tired. Woke up at 1130am. Wash up and then clean the room filled with hairs! Tak boleh tahan. Must sweep it like almost everyday! Came online while waiting for the time to turn 1pm and Sin Sien to come down for lunch so that we can eat together.

Later at 315pm we will have a meeting with Mr.Bernard. Don't know regarding what.

After meeting - interesting meeting where we need to do a report on the resort on what experiences we experienced and what should be improve. He was so impress that out of 1 week we could find so many 'not so good' areas of the management and resort. We felt like we were like spies. Another assignment to do and all the report will be presented to all the managers. Kan Cheong!!!

After the long meeting, i went for work. Oh my gosh!!! The time past so freaking slow! There is no guest and it's not busy and very little arrivals and all the things is already done. Yawn & yawn & yawn...that will be me...yawning non-stop... xD

The wind blew strongly and firmly these very night. It gives me shivers as i pass through the wilderness. The moon shines so brightly that it gave a reflects of shades to the objects on the sea. Marvelous. The night is simply beautiful, calm and serene.Good Night

Shift at 5pm till 2am. Tired. Nothing much happened today. Just this short update for the day. FO was quite busy with all departures and arrivals. The big boss came today. Din't get to see him. He came in private jet that totally causes global warming but the pilots are so cool. When can i be like them? Will i? Can i? worse come to worst, i be the air stewardess lo. She got an upgrade to the exclusive resort in Naladhu and not the pilots. Kesian the Pilots and lucky the air stewardess. The jet sea plane was so awesome...*drools*

Happy Birthday Denise! You are now officially 20 years OLD! How does it feels to be one year OLDER? hahaha..I just want to wish you the best in everything in life! Love You a lot!!! Hugs!!

Today shift will be at 5pm till 2am again. Must sit a small speed boat back to the staff quarter. Love it because it is freaky dark and dangerous...hahaha...

Just now in the afternoon, Theresia and Ray finally got to touch the water. The oily water because they swam near the port. They swam till the pineapple island, just opposite the marina. They love that island sand as it was really soft like vanilla according to Ray. I didn't join cause i was to tired to swim. Now seriously. I wan to get back to sleep. ahhahaa.. Au voir!

Shift started at 5pm and will end at 2am. China guest is getting more and more each day. Have to speak mandarin to them as they do not understand really well. This really is testing my Mandarin vocabulary.

2 China guest today came to the front desk and want a immediate check out and ask us to change the air ticket dates as well. So Mah Fan! Thank God everything get to be done before the boat leaves and Changi Airport Reservation Department gave a comfirmation fast.

The moon took me away by its beauty...The moon tonight was so beautiful because it has a outer ring surrounding it. It was my first time seeing it. So beautiful! Loving the moon and the Stars. Oh did i tell you that i saw a meteor shoots right in front of my eyes that day. So awesome! =)

Finish my work early. I missed Denise's birthday celebration but i wished her. I hope she don't mind receiving her birthday gift late as i couldn't get anything here in Maldives for her.

Today i did PM shift. PM shift is from 3pm to 12am. I am in Front Office also know as the Guest Relation Officer (GRO) Learned a lot of things from the people there especially Raja & Shahaz. No so much from my manager maybe because she is busy but i

still think that she could at least spend a little time explaining things when i ask. Kin my FO Manager is a Malaysian Chinese by the way that has been working overseas for many many years. Time passes quite fast today as i have many things to do in hand. Occupancy of the resort will slowly drop because it is peak season. This is because all promotion will soon stop and the tariff will increase. Many tourist will go to other resort rather than Anantara because of this. Therefore occupancy of the resort will drop. Anantara actually should continue on with their promotion so that they could at least get a higher occupancy percentage and at least can get more revenue.

Tired as always. Reached room at 1am, bathed and fast asleep.

Happy Birthday Jan See Chen Ho. Today is your birthday! I wish you the very best in everything you do especially in your career now and in the future. =)

Today i started my day with a beautiful breakfast with my fellow friends. This is the only time that i can get update from them about their training and the problem as well as their experience. It is interesting for some of us, as some of them are ill treated by some staff. The people who works here, locally and non-local, low post and higher post, some of them are knowledge selfish. Oh well, maybe that i could try to get use to it but ill treatment from other staff to my friends is unacceptable. Thank God they told Mr.Bernard about what happened. I hope actions will be taken in the future. There is so many things in the management that make us regret coming here for training. I told myself " No matter how nice and how 5 Star the place is, working and having a holiday is different. No matter how good the company is, surely there is flaws." This at least can change my perception about working life and motivates me to know more about the management so that i could brain storm a project for my TIS on how things should improve.

Later i am having GRO-PM shift again and the next coming day it will be Night shift which is from 12 am till 7am. This is really interesting yea...*Tired* Hope i get to learn more things today. I uploaded pictures in FB. So, feel free to check it out.

Work today was quite good. Get to interact with some of the guest and they are China Chinese people. Imagine me speaking mandarin to them. LOL. I have to speak mandarin to them as they find it hard to understand English. I guess my Mandarin will surely improve by the time i finish my training. =)

Tsunami scares me...seriously...when i read about the news about Tsunami strikes in America Samoa, i was alert about it. Till yesterday, the thought of tsunami really freaks me out as Padang has a massive earthquake that also affected Malaysia. Here is Maldives, we got an Tsunami alert from the department. Was praying that it is just an alert. Thank God nothing happened. The place Anantara is located has been washed with the previous Tsunami before, so now you tell me is it necessary to be alert of it? Surely it is. One of the guest in the over water bungalow actually called in and told that they felt the earthquake. That was before we got the tsunami alert. Scary yea...Pray that nothing will happen. Today i learned a few essential procedures. Happy with the knowledge. Hope to learn more as days comes.Shift ended at midnight and here i am again updating my blog. Tired...Good night everyone...

I knew it that i will know their weaknesses when i jump in and get hand in hand with their management. From the outer appearance they are 5star but don't get cheated by them. Look and observe by yourself. They are not so 5Star as what i thought they were. Oh well, Observe & Learn...

Today my days started in the front office. Firstly i went and met the front office manager. She has only been here for 2 weeks. Anantara FO has never got a FO manager for the past10 months,it is no surprise if the management is messy. Went around the whole island of Dhigu under the hot sun, this kind of sun can kill me. Seriously, its no joke that one can easy get dehydrated. Went to see the various types of rooms. It was awesome. Love the room and the scenery. Get ready to spend whole lots of bucks if you are planning to come to Maldives for holiday. The average tariff for the room is about USD350++ After that i was given some assignments to do. First task is to check the Reg. Card. I found out that most guests are from China, Europe and Northern Asia part. The closes to my country is Indonesia and Thailand. None are from Malaysia? After finishing that task i then have to key in flight details into the system. I got to learn the Opera Ver5.0. This system is so user friendly and so easy to use. Not to say i am an expert but seriously, so easy. I work my assignment till 3pm then went back to rest.10pm i have to go back to lobby for SQ arrival. Things got messy here as one of the group suppose to register as GIT but they were under FIT and they want to choose their partners to sleep with but they did not give rooming list. Kin, FO manager handled the situation but there is something that make me doubt things and confused whether is the right thing to do in front of guests or not. After that arrival, there is another arrival. I only helped them to prepare the Reg. Card and then i head back to my hostel. By the time i reach my room. It was 1 am. I still can't believe that i work till that time which is 4am in Malaysia. *Salute* oh..did i mention some of my friends work like a dog here. We were actually supposed to touch a department that has got to do with management plus we are degree students now. Somehow the management here couldn't understand what we are told them and what is our reason being here. We told them that we are tourism student but yet they still think that we are hotel student. Misunderstanding and lack of understanding and tidak apa attitude is the problem that made them not so 5Star. The people's attitude here is like the people we know back in my country with the TIDAK APA ATTITUDE. Don't think that only Malaysian has that attitude, and sometimes it give me the impression that they are no different from the others although they are in high position. So nice being in Maldives? yupz...if you are enjoying your holiday but not working. I guest working in any part of the work suck. Working life suck. Thank God i am still a student =P No offence for those who are working

28th September

I woke up quite early today. My shift for the day is at 3pm till 12am working in the RGO. Now i am in the staff cyber to online and update about myself. Hopefully later as i work, i get to learn something more useful. I am sure there is many things more to learn from Kin and from the people here. Shift starts from 3pm and ends at midnight. Freaking tired. Need to welcome guest, registrations, excorting guest to room, follow up and update profiles. It seems so easy but i don't know why were i so tired. Kept walking here and there till leg pain...no complaints, no complaints...Maldivesis very nice with white sandy,crystal clear water and with beautiful sunrise and sundown and of cuz the shining star and bright moon reflected by the water of the sea. I am blessed enough to be here experiencing the different culture and enviroment. Tired and i need to sleep now..adios

Maldives cont'

Holla everyone! Today is my 3rd day in Maldives. Today i woke up at 730 am and then went to morning meeting with all the General Managers. Did our introduction to them and after that introduction Mr. Bernard told us that our introduction was really good and professional, where we set our standard high and the GMs can see that we are sharp person. while waiting for the boat to arrive, he then share his knowledge to us about things and issues around. Mr. Bernard is someone whom i highly look up to even though i only know him for 3 days. I can see that he is one& successful guy and he loves challenges and new things. He never be selfish of his knowledge and he is a respectable person in this area and in some other country as well. He have seen death, poverty and sufferings as he goes around for work. He also shared his experiences in Afghanistan how his friend died in front of him when terrorist attacked and he even seen bloody blew up body parts lying around the room.

We then went for orientation to know more about Anantara and its main partners. The big boy for this chain company is Minor International. They are in the Resort & Spas industry, Fashion & F&B industry as well. It is amazing how Mr. Heineeke first started his career from something small and now being a very successful person in the industry. How i wish i could be someone so successful in the future. Hmm...it will be my aim...In this service industry, it is passion that determine where you will be. It is very different from other professions like lawyer or doctor. They might earn lotsa buck but with less benefits. We might earn less but with good benefits. In my 2 years studying Tourism Management, many people don't understand exactly what we study and why do i choose this course. Many people wouldn't think that we can be successful or excel in the future but they are wrong because there is actually many successful and knowledgable people in the world whom are in this industry that is filled with great passion for people. I personally has met some in this few years studying in Taylors and training in different places.

After lunch we were suppose to collect our uniforms and then start our first day of work but uniform wasn't ready until evening so we went to sleep. In this 3 days, i sleep quite a lot. I don't know why am i so tired. In the evening, we collected our uniform except for Denise & Jovin. The picture can be viewed in Marvin's facebook. Me, Marvin, Ray & Theresia were asked to start work soon as we are ready. When we went to the boat, Ashfaaq told me and Marvin that we will only start work tomorrow as Ms. Kin Teoh, Front Office Manager od Dhigu is busy. Ms. Kin Teoh is a Malaysian. According to Mr. Bernard, she is someone who is very knowledgeable and has wide experience as well. I can't wait to learn from her. In front office, we are required to know how to use the Opera System 5.0 Version. In my mind, i was thinking whether Taylor's is using this latest version of Opera System or not. If they are not, they should really buy the latest version for the DH students. At least when they go for training or work, the people will look up to them because they are exposed to such latest system.

It is good and better if DH and DC student to do their internship here as they are really focused on the Hospitality & F&B area. They management here is good and very systematic. They are people oriented and they really take care of the staff needs. "Happy staff, Happy Guest" is one of their motto in the company. So from that motto, we know that they put their staff as their priority as well.

Dinner was good. After dinner, here am i blogging about my day n the staff cyber cafe. The line here is really slow as i couldn't on my msn or even load my facebook. *sad case* By the way, I really miss the people back in Malaysia. There is no where better than home. Miss you!!! Take care and i will soon get a local sim card here. It's way cheaper to call back compare to roaming line. Do send me messages although i wouldn't reply because it will be costly. Will send reply whenever its needed. Love you all!

Hey there people! I'm now in the staff cyber cafe in Marina staff island under Anantara Resort Maldives. Its 3.38pm and it's exactly 3 hours different from Malaysia. Yesterday we arrived in Maldives at 9.30pm local time here. Greeted the airport representative and then waited for the boat till about 1130pm. Had a 30 minutes boat ride to the staff island in Dhigufinolhu. We were so tired and looked half dead when we arrived in Maldives. I fell deep asleep on the boat on our way to the island. The ride was so nice because the boat seat is cushioned nicely and it was so comfortable. Could see the shining stars in the sky and it was awesome. We then was greeted by the HR Manager, Mr. Bernard Colomba and then we were brought to our room. The girls sleep together in a room with 6 beds and bathroom attached. The toilet is clean and with hot shower. Should be grateful for that because it is way better than the previous hostel where i stayed last training. We then went for a walk around the area and headed back to our room. Slept at 230pm local time. -tired-

Woke up at 730pm. Then went for breakfast. The canteen for the staff here is really good. The food is good and the canteen is air conditioned. Buffet style and 24 hours of Milo, Tea and Coffee. After breakfast, we had a training meeting in the training room. Our department are being assigned and expectations on us is really high where we can feel the pressure on us. I am assigned in the Front Office in Dhigu, Marvin as well, Denise- F.O in Veli, Jovin- F&B in 73 Degree, Ray & Theresia - F&B in Dhigu, S.Sien - Account & Finance Daphne - Sales & Marketing. Don't ask me why are they in F&B. Expected because we are training in a resort. The reason we are accepted in is because the manager wants to change the working mindset of the locals and to be an example for the staff here. Also to improve the working management through us. Hope we can really be someone who is capable in the industry even though we are young. Had a short nap just now and then went for uniform measurement. Came online in the staff cyber cafe that has wifi. At 4 which is now, we will go for a rounding around the island. GTG now. More updates soon. Miss you all -out-

A student name B, went into the Career Centre one fine afternoon. She sat down and tried to get comfortable before she opens her mouth to ask for information about her internship placement in Nexus Karambunai, Sabah. Ms.F, a person B doesn't really like to talk to has to be the person whom she need to attend to. Not that she has a choice, but Ms.F is the person in charge of her applications. "Did you get the email that Ms.MB from Karambunai has sent?"
Ms.MB is an HR assistant in Karambunai and she sent a email to college and B to ask for an application letter to proceed with my internship placement. "I will send the application today, and tomorrow you come back to get the reply. Is it o.k with you?" Without a choice, B have to say ok but in her mind she was fearing that Ms.F will take her own sweet time sending in the application. A sigh with much worries breathed out from B.

7 of B's classmates were talking to Mr.T, Manager of the Career Centre regarding their confirmation to Maldives. While B was chatting with JV and J, her classmates. Planning about her Sabah trip after intership, suddenly Mr.T walks out and gave a call to Mr.B.C, the P.I.C of their application in Maldives. As he talks, all of them gave a full attention to what he was speaking and within them was a nervous but yet excited feeling rushing through their blood in their vain. A voice began to get louder. It was Mr.T's voice. He ask Mr.B.C " I was wondering whether can your resort accept another person in?" while looking at B. Everyone of them knew that he was mentioning about B. Silence struck. Heart beats increases its pumping rates. B and her classmate was hoping that the answer could be positive as she was very eager to do her internship internationally and time left for her to find a placement is very limited.

Mr.T hung up the phone. Sarcastically but yet with serious face he told all of them "Don't want her" Hoping and praying hard deep within that he was just joking. Mr.T then came out from his office and start counting "1, 2, 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7...8 go and book you air ticket!" D, B's classmate, jump and cheer in happiness but B was still smiling, trying to believe the truth. Stun and blur. Senses came in to her. "I am going to Maldives for training!" she told herself. Immediately she ask Ms.F to cancel all applications and interview. B left with a wide smile relieved from worries. Went home and told her mom about it, and B's mom gave full support for B that means a lot to B.

B can't wait for this once in a life time experience, since B is always looking for something new and exciting, better still, with adventure and fun. B will be leaving for Maldives on the 24th September. Coming back in November. Training in a beautiful island. Thank God for answering B prayer to get this internship placement done. But now B have to concentrate on studies as B's Final is next week. All the best B...

Here's a little post about my close friend that i knew for almost 8 years. The craziest person you ever seen and he is always nice and happy but not when his mood interfere. He can be annoying and disgusting at times but yet he can the very best friend that stick to you through thin and thick. Dear Readers,

Sorry for missing in action again. At last i got time to update a lil about my life
Been busy with assignments, studies, work, fun and problems. Now i am quite free from assignments but exams are coming. Hence, i will be busy studying. I had so much fun during this term doing some of the assignment that is out of the box. Not just some boring power point slide but dancing, stomping and singing for law presentation. How cool is that. My class also organized an exhibition from Taylors to Toulouse as what i have mention in the previous post.

About my work. Some will ask how do i cope up with my studies when i work and study at the same time. My work is practically very easy and relax, so that's why i get to have time to study during my working hour. When i am bored of studies i get to play with the dogs or watch movie. Note: This is during working time. As much as i love stress, i love to have fun as well. Lets not talk about that part =P

Problems, let me see..actually is not my problem neither is my friend's problem. Is someone's problem that we just couldn't care less about but day by day that person is getting on our nerves. Totally testing my patience. Ignore...

When i am free, i read novel or i go dating with friends or go yam cha or study or sleep or eat. Example, last sunday went to City Harvest to see the musical play "Will you marry me" & today lunch, i brought them to Louisiana in Kelana to satisfy their hungry stomach & tomorrow, i wanna go swimming after exam. Yada yada yada... So that's about my boring life. Trying to maximize my day with things to do. Don't ask me why. I don't know.

For my next industrial training. Sigh. I am so clueless for that. Finals is soon. So need to lift up my spirit to study.I hope i will be discipline and be focus! Get more sleep and eat regularly! (as if i will...hahahha) and also drink more milk (knee still pain)

Mainly, our exhibition is like a road trip from Malaysia crossing country to another country, all the way to France. Visitor who participated can actually see a lot of interesting destinations during this 'road trip'.To make the event much more interesting, we did a confusing questionnaire quiz for the people who came. 'Easy' & Confusing it may be, it requires one to concentrate and read all the information that we had prepared on the posters that each of us in BDT 31 has done. Credit to Denise for this questionnaire idea and Jovin, Daphne & Jill for the extra efforts giving in creating the questions and printing it.

During our exhibition, our video were played filled with beautiful pictures and interesting song. The most interesting song that is still ringing in my mind is Bangladesh! done by Jill and the song Jai Ho for Pakistan done by Denise. Love the video combined by Naufal. Thanks!

About 250+ people came to our exhibition that is opened from 10a.m to 4:30p.m. Special Thanks to my dearest classmates. Recently, was waiting for my Hokkaido, Japan internship to be confirmed. I was pretty sure that we could get it but yesterday was really a bad day when the news of failure to get that internship added to the list of reasons for my bad day. They require 4 months of internship but i only have 3 months maximum. Anyways, I take it as a reply from God, no point to be sad over it, maybe there is somewhere better and nearer for me but i wonder where.

I am rather still in shock to hear about the death of the most talented and most respectable film & advertisement director, Yasmin Ahmad. I always love her production as it is all very creative and out of the box moreover it often shows about the transparency & boldness among Malaysian about the social issue. It's very hard to find such person as her. She always remain to be the "one in a million" to me. I was hoping that she will get well from her fall on Thursday, but it's a waste and a grieve to hear about her lost among us. However, I believe that God has his timing of his own for us and i hope her legacy in the creative industry will be inspired to all the people especially in this field. I also hope and dream that other film directors would take up the challenge to finish what she has started in effort to nurture unity among nation through arts. She will always be remembered by us. May she rest in peace.

Monday to Thursday has been quite mono for me as I unwillingly live on the daily routine of college days with long hours. Waking up at 6a.m. latest by 7a.m, waiting on the brilliant "on timed" KTM and getting back home late noon. It's quite tiring after going through the long day with just few hours break. As Thursday sway to me, I dance with it gracefully as i enjoy the 5 hour long dance but it gets on my nerve to repeat the same dance every week. Guess i will have to keep 'dancing' for 2 more months. I Love Friday. Friday is my boyfriend! I love him for being there for me... ^^Friday allows me to enjoy life to the fullest. Well, maybe not to the fullest but at least we have time together...

Its Friday already! One week has just passed by so quickly. My normal days has been retrieved and more excitements and challenges is waiting ahead of me. I hope that i go through it well although it will be like a jet plane, going so high up rapidly and free falling down when it reaches a certain level of the troposphere with 0-gravity. Till a certain level i will then fly forward but up again as i continue on with the journey. (don't know what i am saying... lol)

This week is quite a good week where i get to meet Amir, who has just came back from Oz for holiday and also Marvin, Janice and more whom i miss so much in college. I went 'visiting' them... Happy that we could still catch up though we went to a different level after Diploma. =)

I rather kill myself than having holidays now. Unless i have plans and i get to travel. 2 weeks has passes by ever since i finished my Diploma. Missing my classmates so much now and i can't wait to see them when they start their degree.

Days at home are not so productive. Its either sleeping, eatng, online, watch tv and doing chores. Nothing but that. Its that how you go thru your holidays? I wonder how people can actually stay at home or how they even spend their months of holiday? Its good to have holidays to get your mind rested after all the stress and tension that i have gone through during 3 weeks of finals but now wat? Complaining about how boring holiday can be. I bet cha!

King Of Pop Died at 50

I woke up with a shock after reading the news on MSNBC, knowing that the legendary pop star, Michael Jackson has departed on Thursdays at the age of 50.

I always fall in love with M.J over and over again especially when i listen to his song Ben when he first started his career at a very young age. He was a crazy dancer with the perfect Moon Walk. No doubt Thriller was one of the hit even till now. Some of his famous song like Heal the World, Earth Song, I Want You Back, Beat it, Smooth Criminal & many more will surely stay in our memory forever. Always look up to his no matter how bad is the rumours about him dangering his son's life at the balcony, molesting children or how weird he can be in getting fairer weird looking face and wearing germs mask and also keeping a chimpanzee as his companion. Still he is one who has respect from me for who he is especially his music and his talent.

A tribute to Michael Jackson. May you Rest In Peace.

Apart from my day filled with tiredness and boredom. I slept for 8 hours continuously without me noticing the time. I was so tired and i felt so restless. Maybe due to the lack of sleep during the finals period and also i slept for only 4 hours the day before. My eye bags are seriously reaching the serious level that i should take precautions.

A very last moment, Marvin text me ask ask whether I am free to join him for the Selangor State Marching Band Competition in Stadium P.J. I was thinking why not. So i say yes. I almost woke up late if Marvin didn't send me his "Bangun Pagi" message to me but anyways, i still reached his place late cause of the traffic.

Went to the place and competition starts. Took some shots and enjoying my time watching the band. Was supporting SMK Seafield & SMJK Kwang Hua. Kwang Hua won the first after 20 years of playing, they actually deserve it because their performance was great... 2nd placing is Klang High School .The Drum Major from Seafield was awesome and he was the only D.M who did not drop his Mace. His throw of the mace was so energetic and crazily creative. The turn off during the closing was when they announced that the best D.M was not from Seafield. All the audience Boo-ed! Seafield deserve that prize not some D.M who did nothing. The wining D.M actually did not made any impression in our mind and his band was so *speechless* (bad kind os speechless)

Monday i was suppose to go for dental check up at 5pm. I suddenly felt so tired during the noon so i took a nap and woke up at 7pm.

Wednesday, Woke up, bathe and online. Manquant D as usual. Went college for exam. Went lunch with Hannie, Marv and Hannah. Before that, we went to the office and enquire about the degree fees and particulars. Later do we know that, we cannot change our piture in our ID! Even when we are in degree and our particular on the ID changes, not our picture. 'Good' news to Marvin and some of the ppl with funny and lame faces. XD Went to KTM and i missed the train. Waited for 30 mins under the hot and humid weather. I nearly melted.

Tomorrow, Thursday. Continuer Disparus D. Tour packaging exam. Hope i will do good.

Got my trial result on Monday. Disappointed in myself because i know i can do better.
Wednesday,10 June 2009, Prayed hard that the 2 paper will be easier than trials.
Result: Disappointed
Reason: Tougher than i thought. Tougher...

My mood just drop down the hill after finishing both paper. Study so hard for what? Better sleep right? So much for aiming to get "An Honorable Pass with Congrats from Jury" which require to get 16 and above. Ya >16 i know..is >16/20...It seems so little compare to 4/4 CGPA right? In my course, there is no such word as distinction. No 100%, no perfect score. Well, i guess i will just have to aim for "An Honorable Pass"...sigh...No! I need to give my best to get what i deserve.

Out of 10 people 9 will say tourism is easy. Some look down on tourism. They would think that tourism has no future and we take tourism because is easy to pass. No. Now i tell you this. Tourism require you to use your brain to think, life and culture to experience, skills to be implemented, logical of human mankind to apply in our studies, and lots and lots of knowledge. Its not theory like how many courses are. Some just read books, memorize and get it done. We read books but requires a lot of critical thinking. The world is our classroom. Not the books. They study formulas that does not apply in their job and life but its different from tourism. I am not mocking other ppl, i just want you to know that it is not as easy as you thought it is. It's not all about going for holidays and traveling around. You don't know what kind of hell we went through. I study French Diploma in Tourism Management (Brevet De Technicien Tourisme) I am proud of what i study and i never regret it. I enjoy my course more than anything i do in my life. This course totally teaches me how to be a better person in the life directly and indirectly. Tourism also teaches me humility, respect, and gratefulness as i go around places for study trip or even just for a simple vacation.

I can't wait to graduate, but at the same time i don't look forward to degree because it's even harder. When i see my senior, they totally change my mind not to continue. They were so stressed out and crying out for help. What i am about to face is beyond imagination. All the best Man Ling.

Few more stages of hell to go through. I am scared because next coming exams is all practical are graded by Internal Jury from Taylor's, External Jury from the Industry, French Experts!!!

Time for me to write some crap after reading Hannah's blog and after draining out my juices form my brain for 17 hours of studying...Plus minus all my bullshits in the room...Make it 12 hours straight of studying and trapping myself in the room. Dym stressful...Trying to squeeze every info into my brain...I hope my effort can be seen in result.
